The Party's Over
I admit it, I've been bad. I've been neglectful of my writing. And as we know, neglect breeds further neglect. I can blame it on my baby, now 14-weeks old, I can blame it on playgroups with my 21-month old. But I'd be lying. Truthfully, it's not even that I'm uninspired - there's been plenty of fodder for blogging lately. I've been lazy, which is worse.
But I'm back. On all counts. I'm back to getting myself in order. I no longer can use "new baby" as an excuse. I can't use pregnancy pain as an excuse. And step #1 includes losing the baby weight that has become so comfortable on my ever-expanded waistline. After baby #1, it seemed moot to bother much, since I knew it wouldn't be long before moving toward #2, but now I'm done. At least for a while.
So as of yesterday, I'm counting Weight Watchers Points. I've never done it without actually going to weigh-in, but I figure I'm a professional weight watcher and after all, the fact that my clothes don't fit and my belly still looks 4 months pregnant should be motivation enough. Matter of fact, I started my day at the gym, then lunched on a delicious salad with feta and chicken, and now am writing to tell you about it. Must've been good. :)
In other news, Baby #2 is doing so well, and is even a FAB sleeper. You may remember that Baby #1 (AKA Alex) has sleep issues, so after learning from my mistakes, Sabrina goes to sleep with a smile and a sigh, and NO ROCKING, jostling, or holding of any kind. It seems novel every time she does it.
Here's hoping it continues!!
