I have a 1-year-old and a 2.5-year-old. Suffice to say, meal time in my house is always a treat, and a messy one at that. While my little one is still confined to her high-chair, my toddler insists on sitting in a "big-girl chair" and eating with regular utensils and plates. Don't get me wrong, this is a good thing, as a matter of fact, I encourage it. But once the eating is done and the milk is gone, I'm left with two happy kids and a crazy mess on the table.
Recently I was introduced to a new product meant to help with messy mealtime, called My Plate-Mate. Essentially, My Plate-Mate (which is a mom-invented product - OBV!!) is a teaching tool for eating. You stretch the plastic half-dome around your child's plate so they can push their food around without getting it everywhere. No mess (well, less mess), no frustrating eating experiences, and a fun accessory for their plates! The plastic is dishwasher-safe and is BPA-free.
Worth a try, wouldn't you say? Especially since this product retails for just $7.95.
Win it! Through Friday, October 17th, one Daily Grind reader will win a $10 gift certificate at My Plate-Mate. Or buy one now and save 10% through October, by entering promo code "MESSFREE" at checkout.
GO!

Finally a teaching tool for young children! Sounds like a product my grandson would love and needs! Great blog

Sounds like a good idea, but I'd have to try it to see for myself.
