We have a LOT of blankets in our house. By our own definition, we are a very cozy family. My kids love to cuddle under blankets, make forts using blankets, they have been known to create makeshift "beds" on my kitchen floor - for real!
That said, little impresses me when it comes to blankets. It feels like I've seen it all. In the four years I've been in business, I've seen thousands of blankets on tradeshow floors, in boutiques, in catalogs. And while most are cute and cuddly, it's often the same old thing, ad nauseum.
When I received a note in my inbox about Happy Blankie, I almost deleted it without looking. But I did look, and here's what I saw:
These are Happy Blankies!! Seriously, how cute are these?? In a world filled with blankie monotony, someone finally came up with something DIFFERENT!! We ordered the pink pig since we're all-girl over here and you tell me if you think my daughter likes this:
These cuties come in three sizes, the one you see here is the medium size which is perfect as a stroller blanket, and ideal in her crib. The large is much bigger, and would cover an adult. They can be personalized with a child's name, and take it from me, they are soft, cuddly, and really well-made. I honestly don't have any of my usual cons to go with the pros, this blanket is just awesome.
Now clearly this is an idea that had to be conceived of by a child, as adults we're just not wired to be so creative. Combining a stuffed animal and a blanket to create the cutest blanket like, ever? Thanks to the 7-year-old son of the owner, Emily, Happy Blankie was born. And not to be outdone by her son's genius, Emily decided to add to this by giving away one blanket for each blanket bought - to the buyer's choice of charity anywhere in the world!
Win it! One lucky reader will win a medium-sized Happy Blankie of their choice. Simply visit the Happy Blankie site, and tell us one great thing about this company (there are MANY!). Come back here and leave us a comment, and we will choose a winner on Friday, June 18th at midnight.

Oh those are cute! I love that the blanket was founded by a kid and that the family made it a reality, super cool!

I think it's great that the whole idea was inspired by a 7 year old named David! That's cool! I love the bear blanket. It would be great for my new grandson.

A seven year old boy made this blankie, as he wanted to create his two favorite things together for his little sister.
