Well, it's pretty obvious that it's not only on these kind of shows that you see women doing the marketing. I think that even with the rise of feminism, it's still a man's world and I think that the concept, which refers to women as objects for men's amusement will never truly die.

I work in the tech industry, and represent several companies that exhibit at CES each year. I've been in this male-dominated industry for 14 years, and have always just considered "booth babes" as part of the scene. I agree with one of the interviewees that say that his opinion of a company that uses these models is not positive. I feel that I am of average attractiveness, but that I have the upper hand, because I actually know my product line. I can tell if I'm holding the product I'm featuring upside-down or not (true story). I'm glad to see that this topic has been brought to light a bit more this year. Cheers!
